Benai Boyd was born and raised in Southern California. She attended American Musical and Dramatic Academy in both Los Angeles and New York. Some of her credits include Tokyo Disney Resorts principle voice for their hit show “Big Band Beat” and other Disney Productions, Gary Coleman in The LA Times Critics Choice & Ovation Nominated (2013) “Avenue Q”, Couch in Pamela Hayden’s “Down on the Pharm”, Nellie in “Jekyll & Hyde”, The One who kissed the Frog in the West Coast Premiere of “Disenchanted”, Joanne Jefferson in “Rent”, Motormouth Maybelle in “Hairspray”.

In 2015 she was apart of the original collaboration of the Disney Animated Hit “Frozen”  with Bobby & Kristin Lopez and Bob Iger, transforming it from its hit Film to the first live adaptation to open the doors for every other tour, and iteration out today. 

She originated the role of “Queen Iduna” and the Beloved Mama Troll “Bulda”. 

Benai also can be seen in General Hospital, Had a National Commercial and print Campaign in 2018 and is also in 4 episodes of Big Little Lies with our beloved Danielle Judovits!
